13/September Stand by me

I’ve been listening to Stand by me covers pretty much all day long. Tracy Chapman, U2 and Bruce Springsteen, John Lennon and the original version by Ben E. King. I guess everybody knows this song, that would include me, but it felt so great to go back it’s sound, the melody and the lycrics. Such a sweet song, really adorable in a way.

I’m holing on, guys. The last couple of days were really good. I messed up my sleeping pattern last week, during the binge-fest, but I think I managed to turn the table back around. It’s been hard, I was chaotically exhausted, felt frustrated and could not focus properly. I had this ‘binge thaughts’ yesterday, byt I did not fall for them. I’m on my Skinny Bitch Path and “I ain’t goin’ nowhere” but straight forward. I’m proud that I did not loose it yesterday, it’s been tough because of the tiredness. I tend to eat too much when I’m eshausted - rather out of frustration than simply hunger, or craving for a source of energy. I hope you’re all good, too.

I wanna tell you about all the stuff I’ve been watching lately. First of all - Rizzoli & Isles <3 This show is a killer, a real deal, I love it so much. You know what? I don’t get that much of a “gay vibe” from it, and it’s been reported to me that this is “the gayest non-gay show on air” There is some great chemistry between the characters, probably also actresses - I’ll admit that, but I think that the whole “lesbian business” is just wishfull thinking - I personally am a part of the “wishfull thinking Maura and Jane movement” so I’m not really critising this whole thing. I just wonder if there truly is something behind all of the jokes and the smirks - I doubt there is, sadly, but I’m not Janet Tamaro, so… I’m not the one to set this discussion.

I’ve just recently bumped into another show. Remeber Lisa Kudrow - Phoebe from the Friends? I’m sure you do. I always disliked the character of Phoebe, simply cuz I find this kind of people annoying in real life. They’re sweet, but annoying. She’s just like the Susan Mayer of Desperate Housewives - She needs to be there, but her job is to piss me off. I enjoy the slight irritation given to me by these characters, but they’re both just not my type of people. I’d hang with Bree and Monica, not Susan and Phoebe. Back to Lisa Kudrow, maybe? This year Lisa starrs in a new show. I believe she is a big part of the project and it’s creation process - I think she’s involved in production, she may also be involved in the script-writing. The show is called Web Therapy - check it out, it’s really great. If you find therapists’ attitude amusing, than this show is perfect for you. I personally can’t stand all the shrinks, so I was blown away by Lisa’s interpretation of their mannerisms. She’s amazing in this part, the character itslef is very different from Phoebe, obviously. I think she’s done a fantastic job playing this part, she really got this whole “A therapist who needs therapy herself” right. Even the way she uses her voice - her accent, her tone, her sylabo-stretching - it’s all so funny and authentic, hilarious in a pretty tragic way. I love her in this role, and I love the show.

Last, but not least - I’m gonna write about these two movies. I’ve been fixating on Sigourney Weaver lately. I’ve always adored her, but I was never really ‘into her’ that much. I stumbled on her while watching The View short-cuts on YouTube - the ladies were interviewing her, and since I like her a lot, I just clicked the video - and that’s how it started. I was so amused by her that I figured I wanna dig out some of her movies. The first one I found was a movie I’ve actually seen a couple of years ago and remembered it was great, but I decided to watch it again. It’s called Tadpole and now it’s officially on my ”All Time Favourites List” <3 It’s about this amazing 15-year-old boy who falls in love with his stepmother. It may sound a little bizzare, but this movie is so smart, so well-acted, so deeply touching. I say “check it out” I’ll give you a hint - This boy is nothing like you might think a 15-year-old would be…

The last movie I’m just gonna mention briefly, though I think it is a very good production, too. It’s called The TV Set and David Duchovny starrs in it along with Sigourney. I’d say it’s a comedy, for sure - yet it is smart, kinda twisted and a little bitter-sweet. Also has a sense of seriousness attached to the final meaning, which is something I love in comedies. Again - try watching this film, if you have a feeling that you might enjoy it.

I cheer you to check out all of the productions I mentioned. I guess I’m “recommending” them - Obviously cuz I have such a huge group of readers who follow my rocommendations -_- Just kidding, guys. I hope that at least one person will read this someday, and maybe decide to look up these movies, shows - I’d be happy if that ever happened, really. I created this site mostly to have some records “of myself for myslef” That was, and is the main reason for me to be here. Having that said, I really enjoy the Tumblr. itslef and all the Tumblr. people who contacted me - You’ve all been so sweet and supportive. I really wanna thank you all for your time and hearts. I hope I was there for you sometimes, too. This place really is Wonderland + Neverland + Narnia…
